MOVIE MONDAYS IN DECEMBER #3

Hi and Welcome Back!  This week’s entertainment article is my third installment of 5 Ways to Save Money at the Movies.  Listed below are tips 11-15.  This week, I give tips on memberships and show the price difference between the admission at a new theater and the admission at an older theater.

  1. Purchase the book at Entertainment.com for only $15 right now. There are coupons for movies, dining, and more.
  2. Check with your employer – military families or other employers may have an agreement with a theatre chain to allow the purchase of discount tickets.
  3. Check your memberships – You may be able to get a discount just by flashing your credit union or AAA membership card at the cashier.
  4. Purchase tickets in bulk – Check with your local theatre. I know Wehrenberg offers two different bundles of 50 tickets. You pay $75 more for tickets with no restrictions, but the per ticket prices come out to $7.50 and $6! You could purchase the tix and split the cost with some friends or another family.
  5. Go to a smaller/older theater – Yes, there are price differences. In my hometown, the price difference between the two large theaters ranges from 25 cents to $2!

Stay tuned, or subscribe, because I’ll be posting the last 5 ways to save money at the movies next Monday!
