Ready… Set… Go!!!
Now that you have a little information regarding “shopping,” I’m sure your dying to get started! I have a huge list of companies, but will only give you a few reliable names to get you started. In the next installment, I’ll give you the whole shebang! I recommend signing up for as many companies as possible. This will allow a steady stream of emails and contacts showing you assignment opportunities in your area. Oh, and one last thing. When you sign up with companies or take certification through the MSPA, you take an oath not to publicize clients of a certain company – it’s part of your confidentiality agreement. I can tell you that Company XYZ does fast food shops, but I can not tell you that Company XYZ’s client is Joe Schmoe Pizza. Comprendes? Good, here we go!
- Certified Field Associates – movie theaters, many merchandising opportunities (movie theaters, grocery stores, discount stores)
- Kern Scheduling – novelty stores, tobacco compliance, restaurants, car washes, eye glasses/checkups, graduate admissions exams
- Maritz – mailing service, fast food, gas stations
- Marketforce – gas stations, grocery stores, fast food, banks
- Ritter Associates – fast food, flower shops, gas stations
Forums and other Ways to Find Jobs (other searching directly for MSPs)
- The MSPA Forum is a good place to start. Here you can ask questions, network, and get opinions on MSPs.
- Jobslinger is a site that I use the most when doing a general search for assignments. They list jobs from SASSIE, DemoZilla, Volition, and the MSPA.
- The Mystery Shop Forum is just a forum but there are a lot of topics. You can ask questions, network, and get opinions on MSPs. There’s a helpful search bar that I use frequently and I like to find other shoppers in my area. On this forum as well as the one over at the MSPA site, MSP employees and schedulers will frequently post jobs and answer questions about their companies.
- Volition is a very well known website. I don’t like the layout, so I rarely use it. They’re known as being a “free stuff” site, but they have a decent section on mystery shopping, including a list of MSPs, a forum, and tools.
Stay tuned for the entire list of companies… have fun! And don’t hesitate to ask me questions!
